Thank you for choosing the LION® V5 Adjustable Dumbbells from LIONINSIDE®. Our products are designed for intensive home use, with high-quality materials and an innovative design. Please read these instructions for use and warranty conditions carefully before first use. By using the product, you accept the conditions below.
1. Usage Tips
1.1 Preparation
The dumbbells are delivered ready to use. You do not need to assemble anything to start immediately.
There is a clear difference between the outer plates and the inner plates. Pay close attention to this when (re)attaching parts; an incorrect order can lead to an unsafe situation.
If the dumbbells do not come out of the packaging intact and parts become loose, always read the enclosed instructions carefully before reassembling.
Always set the correct weight before starting your workout.
Before each set, check whether the number on the adjustment mechanism is displayed fully and clearly. If the number is incomplete, the weight is not properly locked and the dumbbell must not be used.
After every weight change, carefully lift the dumbbell and move it gently to check whether all plates are secured.
Use the dumbbells only on a stable, level, and dry surface.
Make sure you have sufficient training space around you.
1.2 During training
The dumbbells are intended exclusively for private home use.
Not suitable for commercial use, including gyms, personal training studios, hotels, corporate gyms, rental, or similar applications. In the event of such use, the warranty is immediately void.
Use the dumbbells only for fitness exercises for which they are designed. Use as a step, push-up support, striking, throwing, or pounding instrument is expressly prohibited.
Warm up properly before every workout (for example with dynamic stretching).
Wear protective equipment where necessary, such as gloves or lifting straps.
Choose a training weight that matches your level. Overloading can cause injury.
1.3 After training and extending service life
After every set or exercise, place the dumbbell back in the supplied holder. This prevents damage to the chrome or coating layer, unnecessary wear to the adjustment mechanism, and damage to the floor.
Wipe off sweat and moisture immediately after use with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Then dry completely.
Store the dumbbells in a dry, ventilated area, out of direct sunlight, away from heat sources, and with moderate humidity.
Avoid corrosion by not storing the dumbbells in damp environments (such as a shed, garage, or outdoors).
1.4 Dropping hazard (extremely important)
Never drop or throw the dumbbells. Dropping causes damage to the product, the floor, and the adjustment mechanism, and can lead to serious injury.
Always return the dumbbell to the holder calmly and in a controlled manner. Never let go on the last repetition.
Damage resulting from dropping, impact, or throwing is excluded from the manufacturer's warranty and from any further liability of LIONINSIDE®.
1.5 Moving
The dumbbells are heavy. Preferably move them with at least two people to prevent injury to the back, shoulders, or fingers.
Never lift the dumbbell by the loose plates. Always grip it firmly by the handle.
When placing or putting them away, watch your fingers and toes to prevent pinching or bruising.
2. Safety warnings
Consult a doctor before use if you have health complaints, injuries, or physical limitations, or if you are over 35 years old and have not trained for an extended period.
If you experience symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, chest pain, or shortness of breath during training: stop immediately and seek medical assistance.
Keep children and pets away from the dumbbells and the holder at all times. This is not a toy.
Inspect the product before every training session for wear, cracks, or damage. In case of defects or doubt: do not use the product and contact our customer service.
Disassembly of the product is prohibited. Modifications or repairs carried out by yourself are not permitted. If parts are damaged or modified, plates may unexpectedly come loose and cause serious injury.
Avoid pinching or trapping fingers while adjusting the weight.
After a long period of non-use: carefully inspect the product before training again.
The owner of the product is responsible for informing all other users of these safety instructions.
3. Precautions when setting the weight
Always turn the adjustment knob fully to the selected weight and check that the number is displayed completely and clearly.
If a number is not displayed completely, the lock is not set correctly. In that case, do not use the dumbbell, as the plates may come loose and fall during the exercise.
After each weight change, carefully lift the dumbbell and move it gently to check that all plates are securely locked.
Never force the adjustment mechanism. If you encounter resistance: check whether the dumbbell is lying correctly in the holder and whether all plates are in the correct position.
Adjust the weight only when the dumbbell is resting in the supplied holder.
4. Warranty
4.1 Warranty period
The LION® V5 Adjustable Dumbbells are the only adjustable dumbbells on the market with a 3-year official manufacturer's warranty. The warranty starts on the date of purchase and applies exclusively to the original buyer (non-transferable).
4.2 Applicable variants
The warranty applies exclusively to the following variants:

4.3 What the warranty covers
Under normal household use in accordance with these instructions for use, the warranty covers:
manufacturing defects;
material defects that can be demonstrably shown to have already been present upon delivery.
This warranty does not affect the statutory rights of consumers under Book 7 of the Dutch Civil Code.
4.4 What the warranty expressly does not cover
The following, among other things, are excluded from the warranty:
Damage caused by improper use, including dropping, throwing, bumping, improper loading, or using the dumbbells for exercises for which they are not designed (such as push-ups on the dumbbell, hitting, stomping, or use as a step).
Damage caused by forcing the adjustment mechanism or by adjusting outside the supplied holder.
Damage resulting from moisture, corrosion, condensation, or storage in unsuitable environments.
Damage caused by commercial use or use in public, shared, or professional environments (gyms, PT studios, hotels, company gyms, rental, etc.).
Damage caused by self-made modifications, disassembly, or repair.
Signs of use such as scratches, discoloration, dullness, small dents, and normal wear of the coating, handle, and parts.
Damage to the chrome layer or coating. No warranty is expressly provided on the chrome and coating layer. Chrome is a cosmetic finish; its condition strongly depends on use, humidity, perspiration, and storage. Advice to extend its lifespan: place the dumbbell back in the supplied holder immediately after each exercise and wipe it with a dry cloth after use.
Any subsequent or consequential damage, including but not limited to damage to floors, furniture, other equipment, clothing, or third parties.
Indirect damage, loss of profit, lost savings, or non-material damage.
4.5 Costs in warranty handling
If the assessment shows that this is a valid warranty claim under these conditions and the applicable Dutch consumer law, the costs of replacement and the related shipping will be borne by LIONINSIDE®.
If the assessment shows that the damage is not covered by the warranty (for example due to improper use, dropping, throwing, forcing, improper loading, storage in an unsuitable environment, commercial use, or self-made modifications), all costs will be borne by the customer. This includes in any case:
the cost price of any replacement parts;
the shipping costs of the replacement part to the customer;
the shipping costs for returning the defective part, if LIONINSIDE® deems return necessary;
all other reasonable costs related to handling the claim.
LIONINSIDE® determines on a case-by-case basis whether return of the defective part is necessary for assessment. In many cases, visual evidence by means of photos and/or videos is sufficient; we therefore always request that you first provide clear visual material before parts are sent. Return costs incurred without prior consultation with LIONINSIDE® will be borne by the customer.

4.6 Warranty procedure
Please contact our customer service via klantenservice@lioninside.nl.
Please include: your proof of purchase (order or invoice number), a brief description of the defect, and clear photos and/or videos of the defect, of the weight used, and of the holder.
Assessment will take place within a few working days. We may request additional visual material or ask for the defective part to be returned.
Replacement will preferably take place in the form of a spare part. Refund or replacement of the complete set will only be considered if repair or replacement of the relevant part is not reasonably possible.
5. Liability and disclaimer
Use of the LION® V5 Adjustable Dumbbells is entirely at the user's own risk.
LIONINSIDE® is not liable for any form of injury, health damage, property damage, or consequential damage arising from, or related to, the use of this product, regardless of the cause. This includes, among other things, but is not limited to: muscle, joint, or back complaints, heart problems, fractures, bruises, fall or impact injuries, damage to floors, walls, furniture, other training equipment, clothing, or to third parties.
This exclusion does not apply to liability that cannot be contractually excluded under Dutch law, including liability for intent or deliberate recklessness on the part of LIONINSIDE® itself, and liability under Dutch product liability legislation for defective products (Article 6:185 of the Dutch Civil Code and following).
The total liability of LIONINSIDE®, insofar as it exists in any case, is in all cases limited to a maximum of the purchase price of the relevant product.
LIONINSIDE® is not liable for damage resulting from failure to comply with these instructions for use or the safety regulations.
These terms and conditions are governed exclusively by Dutch law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the district of Rotterdam.
By purchasing, possessing, and using the product, the user expressly agrees to these terms of use, warranty, and liability conditions. Keep these conditions in a safe place.
